Led by violinist and composer Matt Holborn, Learn To Draw combine contemporary jazz and folk inspirations, sincere melody and a global sense of rhythm, set to the inspired sonics of Domenico Angarano (bass), Joost Hendrickx (drums) and Kourosh Kanani-(guitar). A collection of attuned improvisers with minds open and in conversation creating music that swells from restrained minimalism to full force.
Set up initially to perform the commission, “Here” for Hull Jazz Festival the band is currently playing a set of music inspired by Matt's hometown and testing out new material from their first release due later this year.
